Khushbu was expected by many to be a tough challenge to Udayanidhi Stalin, at the Chepauk constituency. However, the same has been allotted to PMK.

BJP lets go off Chepauk Rajapalayam Khushbu Gautami

The BJP has shown the most momentum among the AIADMK alliance parties in the run-up to the Assembly elections. The BJP decided to contest in the Chepauk constituency. Khushbu campaigned across the Chepauk-Tiruvallikeni constituency.

From the DMK, it was rumoured that Udayanidhi Stalin will contest from Chepauk constituency as the election approaches.

Everyone believed that Khushbu would be the BJP's Chepauk constituency candidate. It has been reported that the BJP is not contesting the Chepauk constituency. Later, it was reported that the same has been given to PMK. AIADMK announced that the constituency was for PMK and released the constituency list.

Similarly, it was widely rumored that actress Gautami will contest from Rajapalayam constituency. But Rajapalayam constituency is not on the BJP list. Thus it is clear that Gautami is not in the competition either.

Khushbu's response on Twitter read as such - ahahhaha.. why is a section of press so kicked up about me not contesting? I never said I was to nor the party said I will.
