The Central government-run Jawahar Navodya schools will be across Tamil Nadu. Reportedly the school focuses on rural educational development. According to media reports, the centre announced that Hindi will not be made a compulsory language but English will be imposed as a second language, and students get to choose Tamil or Hindi as their second language.
