'ALCOHOL IS INJURIOUS TO MOTHER'- REAL INCIDENT IN TN

Alcohol proves to be injurious for different people in different ways based on individual experiences. In a shocking real incident, Alcohol turned out to be injurious for an 80-year old mother in Papanasam Tirunelvelli district.

The 80-year old Sudalaiammal was living in Chettimedu, Indira colony in Papanasam. She had two daughters who were married and settled outside Papanasam and two sons who were working for daily wages. Though she was very weak, Sudalaiammal managed to do her household work all by herself.

Heavy Rain and Selvi's Hut

Due to heavy rain last month, Sudalaiammal's hut started leaking rainwater into the house. Therefore she had moved to Selvi's house (neighbour and relative) since Selvi had gone out of the station. After Selvi returned, Sudalaiammal moved to her elder son Murugan's house.

Life of Murugan

Murugan is married and has 6 sons and 2 daughters. Sudalaiammal was extremely concerned about Murugan as he was consuming Alcohol daily while returning home. Though Sudalaiammal advised a lot, Murugan failed to obey her.

Mother Died

Murugan's mother Sudalaiammal died recently and her funeral happened which was attended by all her relatives. During the funeral, some of the relatives found something odd in Sudalaiammal's death and raised a complaint at Vikramasingapuram police station. Meanwhile, Murugan ran away and stayed in a hidden place.

Alcohol is Injurious to Mother

Murugan was caught as a part of the police investigation and questioned. After some point, Murugan confessed killing her mother out of the complete influence by Alcohol. Reportedly Murugan went home after consuming heavy alcohol and pushed his mother on the floor.

She was injured on her head and Murugan strangled her neck until death. Murugan cried aloud and said he killed her mother as he was under the influence of alcohol. The Police officers arrested Murugan and sent him to jail.
