AB DE VILLIERS SET TO RETURN TO IPL 2022 - TO TAKE UP THIS ROLE WITH RCB!

The current IPL series will be played in Mumbai from March 26 to May 29. The schedules for this was recently released. All the teams are intensely preparing for this.

RCB led by Kohli

Virat Kohli, who captained the Royal Challengers Bangalore, has stepped down from his captaincy. The team did not win the IPL trophy so far under his captaincy and that is why Kohli took the step. Despite reaching the finals several times, RCB has not won the trophy. Though Virat has announced his resignation from RCB, he had announced that he would play for the team till the last. Following this, RCB retained him for Rs.15 crore.

AB de Villiers' Retirement

AB de Villiers, who announced his retirement from international cricket a few years ago and has focused only on league matches such as the IPL, has announced his retirement from all forms of cricket last year. The team is set to play this year without De Villiers, who had been one of the pillars of RCB for more than 10 years.

Faf du Plessis after Kohli

Faf du Plessis of South Africa has been announced as the new captain following the resignation of Kohli. He has already led the South African team. He has also been one of the key players in the Chennai Super Kings team that has won the trophy four times in the IPL series.
