As India is all set for the Cricket World Cup 2019, former Indian off spinner Harbhajan Singh backed MS Dhoni to play at No.4 for the matches. Harbhajan Singh in a recent interview said that he hopes India pushes MS Dhoni to no.4 ahead of everyone.

World Cup 2019; Harbhajan Singh backs Dhoni

"I don't want Vijay Shankar, KL Rahul might be a better no.4 as he's got a variety of strokes under his belt. And the best thing about watching him bat is when he hits the ball and how his head stays still and focused on the ball. He played so many shots against Bangladesh but you won't have seen his head wobble a single time," he said.

"But if you ask me who my favorite no.4, who would be? I will say its probably MS Dhoni. MSD has been playing at number six-seven for team India as a finisher under a lot of pressure. Now he should be brought up the pecking order as he has the ability and the experience to come in and hit a six and attack any bowler. Me, being a bowler can confirm that every bowler in world cricket is scared of Dhoni. If a bowler is hit for a six on his very first delivery, his entire mindset for the over changes," the CSK spinner added.

The reports also added that, Harbhajan wants Dhoni to have the same intimidating presence that he and Virender Sehwag had some during their best years of international cricket.

"I can tell you how a bowler's mind works. Suppose I am bowling to Kevin Pietersen and Ian Bell in tandem, I would be more worried about KP than Bell. I could bowl a couple of dot balls to KP but he had the ability to take me on. Bell, on the other hand, would push for singles. Dhoni like KP can intimidate bowlers. He has that effect," said Singh, one of India's greatest spinners.
