Virat Kohli requests crowd to remain silent during 2 mins silence

The Indian team wore black armbands as a tribute to the lost lives. Before the match commenced, a two-minute period of silence was observed by both the teams to honour the 40 CRPF jawans who lost their lives in the Pulwama terror attack. However, during the two minutes, many sections of the crowd refused to keep quiet and could be heard chanting loudly.

The crowd's behaviour prompted Captain Virat Kohli to request them to keep quiet. Many social media users expressed their anger over the Vishakapatnam crowd's behaviour. One wrote, "Two minutes silence was to be kept for our brave soldiers who lost their lives in the Pulwama attack but our people really lack civic sense. Why were they shouting and cheering?"

Another wrote, "They called for 2-min silence for our army and we wave at the camera, shout slogans. Zero civic sense. Zero empathy. We are a bunch of hypocrites."
