During the recent ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 match, United States of America (USA) cricket team faced the most embarrassing moment of their life by registering the joint-lowest total in ODI history.

USA register joint-lowest total in ODI history Sandeep Lamichhane

They scored 35 runs after struggling to fight with Nepal spinners which was played at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground.

Highlighting about the match, Nepal easily scored the total in just 5.2 overs to end 8-wicket defeat over the USA. After this match, Nepal's win was also the third-largest win in a 50-over ODI when talking in terms of balls remaining.

The stunner of the game was Delhi Capitals' star spinner Sandeep Lamichhane, who registered his name in career-best bowling figures in ODIs. He finished the match with figures of 6/16 in his 6-over spell.

Other than Lamichhane, left-arm spinner Sushan Bhari also joined the list of big names as he took 4 wickets in his 3-over spell.

During the match, USA struggled till 12 overs and could make only 32 runs off the bat as Nepal ended up giving 3 extras in the innings. Surprisingly, USA batsman Xavier Marshall was the only one to get into double figures.

Towards the end of the game, Nepal defeated USA by 35 runs after defending a total of 190 in the 3rd match of the tri-series on February 8.

Meanwhile, Zimbabwe also holds the record for the lowest total in ODI cricket. In 2004, Zimbabwe was bowled out for 35 in Harare.
