SHUBMAN GILL 'ABUSES' UMPIRE AFTER BEING GIVEN OUT, MATCH HALTED FOR 10 MINS!

Punjab opener Shubman Gill allegedly "abused" the umpire after being given out and refused to walk off the field during the Ranji Trophy match against Delhi at the IS Bindra Stadium on Friday.

A Journalist from the Times of India narrated the incident on Twitter quoting Delhi captain Nitish Rana as saying that Shubman walked down to umpire Paschim Pathak and abused him before the decision was overturned.

The decision to overturn the wicket apparently did not go down well with the Delhi team. They walked off the field and play was halted. The match referee had to intervene to resume the play.

Shubman was later dismissed by Simarjeet Singh after scoring 23 runs from 41 balls.

With 17 points Punjab are at the top in the Elite Group A and B standings. Delhi are at eleventh spot with 7 points.
