"DREAM SEASON FOR US AND IT'S JUST THE START" - SHREYAS IYER

The Delhi Capitals have finally played to their potential and have been a team everyone has enjoyed watching.

This team was built around young and inexperienced players along with the experience of Ponting and Ganguly in the background to guide them. Although the inexperience did hamper their results in a few games where they crumbled in pressure moments, the fearlessness of the youth helped them define a brand of cricket unique to themselves and it has worked this season.

Although they did not manage to get to the finals, they made it to the second qualifier and tried their best. After this match against the Chennai Super Kings which they lost, Shreyas Iyer the captain of the Delhi Capitals said that "It's been a dream season for us and it's just the start, We've got a lot more to come next season and yes, we have gelled as a team and we've found the pace and now it's time to grow from here on. I am really of proud the way we played this season. Last season was really disappointing for us and the way we came out this year, everybody took that initiative and responsibility till this game."

A lot of people have appreciated Iyer's captaincy and his calmness as well which is a huge positive moving forward for the Delhi capitals.
