Shoaib Akthar Supports India in the ICC world cup 2019

Pakistan’s former fast bowler who is known for his outstanding pace deliveries, Shoaib Akhtar has expressed his hope that India will lift the 2019 ICC world cup. As per reports, he said, “ New Zealand would not be able to handle the pressure at the semifinals. I believe they are unlikely to beat India”

Shoaib Akhtar also expressed his connection with the subcontinent nation. He further added that “I wish someone from the subcontinent to win the world cup. Therefore I extend my support to India. I will be really happy if India wins the World Cup”. Speaking about the Indian opener Rohit Sharma, he said, “He has been playing good. In fact, he understands the game, plays great shots and his partnership with Rahul is working out very well”.

It has to be noted that Pakistan could not able to qualify for the semi-finals since they had to rely on the result of India vs England in the group stages. On expressing his disappointment over his home team's elimination, Shoaib said, “It was a great disappointment that Pakistan lost their chance to qualify for the semi-finals. I feel Pakistan played equally good as New Zealand. However, because of the net run rate, we lost the opportunity. Net run rate is a cruel thing”.
