After being reappointed as the head coach for Team India Ravi Shastri expressed his happiness and gratitude to the CAC members. In an exclusive BCCI video, Ravi Shastri talked about the plans for the next two years of his tenure with the Indian team.

Ravi Shastri about challenges for Team India until 2021

In the video Shastri says, A “Collective Effort “ is needed to keep the consistency of the team and in the last four to five years India has drastically improved in the fielding department. He further says anybody who wishes to play for the team should meet the standards of the existing players. Shastri also talks about India’s consistent performance in the white-ball cricket and he is positive that it will also reflect in the Test Cricket as well.

On August 16 (Friday), a 2-year contract was made with Ravi Shastri to continue as Head coach for Team India and he will be working with the team till the T20 World Cup in November 2021. Apparently, Ravi Shastri’s reappointment has posed a series of challenges for him and we would have to wait until the end of his tenure to see if he could be able to create a “legacy” and leave the Indian team on a "happier note" as he says in the interview.
