MUMBAI INDIANS DROP THIS CRUCIAL PLAYER FROM THE TEAM!

Mumbai Indians has dropped leg spinner Mayank Markande from the franchise and inducted West Indies all-rounder Sherfane Rutherford for the next edition of IPL.

“We wish Mayank the very best for his future. He is a brilliant talent and we were fortunate to have spotted and nurtured him early. It is a difficult decision for us, but we are releasing him for better cricketing prospects and know that he is on the cusp of emerging as yet another shining star of Indian Cricket. He will always be a part of the Mumbai Indians family,” said the franchise owner Akash Ambani.

The 20-year-old  made his IPL debut in 2018 for Mumbai Indians and added 15 wickets from 14 matches to his name. His impressive performance in that edition also earned him a Team India call up.

However, Markande failed to deliver the same in IPL 2019. He bagged only 1 wicket from 3 matches in the early stages of the tournament and was soon replaced by another leg spinner Rahul Chahar.
