VIDEO: MS DHONI GETS 'EMOTIONAL'; REACTS TO TN FAN WHO PAINTED HIS HOUSE IN CSK COLOURS 

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni is one of the most celebrated cricketers across the world. Over the years, fans have come up with various emotional tributes to honour Dhoni's contribution to the gentlemen's game. 

Fans is Tamil Nadu Dhoni respect and adore Dhoni in god-like status for leading Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise - Chennai Super Kings (CSK). He has also been nicknamed as Thala which means leader.

He is also one of the most successful captains in the history of IPL.

Weeks back, CSK shared a video on their social media handle wherein a die-hard fan named Gopikrishnan, had painted his house in Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu in Chennai Super Kings yellow and also painted portraits of Dhoni all over the house.

After his love and respect for Thala went viral, the cricketer himself responded to it.

In a video that was posted by the official handle of CSK on Twitter, Dhoni reacted to the immense love from Gopikrishnan and said; “I saw it on Instagram and I think it’s a great gesture. At the same time if you see, it’s not only about me, they are the biggest fans of CSK also,” MS Dhoni said.

“The way they have done it, everybody will know what they are really talking about. It shows the kind of feeling they have towards CSK and towards me. It’s not something that can be done very easily, you sit and decide and the whole family needs to agree on that and then you go-ahead  with something like that,” Dhoni added.

As he was getting emotional with the love, MS Dhoni further stated that, “This is something that will stay. It’s not a social media post where it will disappear overnight. I am thankful and I would like to say thank you to the entire family. I think it’s a great gesture.”

As per News18 report, Gopikrishnan is a big fan of Dhoni and has been cheering for the cricketer in all the seasons of IPL. He has been living and working in Dubai but due to the pandemic, Gopikrishna is back in Cuddalore when he decided to do this gesture.

During a recent interview, Gopikrishna said that he was upset he could not see Dhoni play live this year and was disappointed with the way people have criticised his favourite cricketer. He wanted to motivate Dhoni and show his support for Thala. 

IPL 2020 has not been lucky for Dhoni or his team, it has been an unforgettable tournament so far for the Men in Yellow and their fans. For the first time in their IPL history, CSK have been out of the group stages.
