Former India captain MS Dhoni, who loves to spend time with family and friends, also takes advantage of his time by doing organic farming. After his last outing in July 2019, few pictures had gone viral on social media where Dhoni was seen indulging in organic farming in 43 acres of land at his farm.

Later, he also got actively involved in dairy farming, duck farming, and poultry farming. Currently, reports are making headlines that Dhoni looks all set to do poultry farming as he has ordered as many as 2,000 Kadaknath chickens.

This breed of chicken is not easily available in the country, so Dhoni will only be getting the delivery of chicks next month. It is to be noted that the Kadaknath chickens are fat and cholesterol free.

As per a report in IANS, the 39-year-old cricketer first contacted IS Tomar, who is the director of the Kadaknath Murga Research Center in Jhabua, through his friend.

According to a CricTracker report, Vinod Medha, a farmer from Thandla block of Jhabua district has taken the responsibility of delivering all the 2,000 chickens to the former captain before December 15, 2020.

While sharing his experience of serving the legendary cricketer, Vinod said, “Three months ago, Dhoni’s farm managers got in touch with me through the Krishi Vikas Kendra (KVK) and MP Kadaknath mobile phone app. Five days ago, I got the order for 2000 chicks, which I’ve to deliver in Ranchi by December 15. The advance payment for the 2000 chicks has already been credited in my account by the team managing Dhoni’s farm. I’m proud to be supplying Kadaknath chicks to the farm of one of the most famous cricketers of the country," as quoted by Indian Express.

“Kunal Gaurav, who manages MS Dhoni’s farm in Ranchi, got in touch with experts of Ranchi Veterinary College a few months back for getting Kadaknath chicks. Since I’m an alumnus of the same college, the experts at Ranchi Veterinary College got in touch with me,” Dr. Chandan Kumar stated.

Dhoni, who has retired from international cricket will not be seen in domestic cricket as well. Hence, he is set to stay away from professional cricket for the next four to five months as the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 will begin in March or April, so he will have enough time to begin the new business.
