NOT MS DHONI, SACHIN TENDULKAR OR SOURAV GANGULY: HARBHAJAN SINGH NAMES THE GREATEST MATCH-WINNER PRODUCED BY INDIA

Indian cricketers have been quite active on social media since all the sporting events came to a halt due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

During a recent interaction, Harbhajan Singh was asked to name the greatest match-winner produced by India and he chose Anil Kumble above the likes of MS Dhoni, Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly.

Kumble has 956 international wickets to his name across all the three formats. His career-best performance was against Pakistan in 1999 when he picked all ten wickets in the second innings.

“In my view, Anil bhai was the greatest ever who played for India. He’s probably the greatest match-winner India has ever produced. People used to say he didn’t spin the ball, but he showed that if you had the heart, you could get batsmen out regardless of whether the ball spun or not,” Harbhajan was quoted as saying by The Cricket Times.

“If anyone has half the competitiveness Anil Bhai had, he would become a champion. I’m lucky to have played with him for so many years. He was an unbelievably committed player,” he added.
