Gautam Gambhir is someone who is not afraid to voice out his opinions unfiltered.

Recently, when the Indian squad for the world cup was announced, one of the biggest talking points was dropping Ambati Rayudu from the world cup squad. Gambhir strongly feels that Rayudu should have been a part of the Worldcup squad.

In a recent article, Gambhir wrote “It is disgusting to see that he is being judged more on his IPL form and less on his overall skill-set. I am not a big fan of statistics as they never tell the whole story”

Rayudu who almost cemented his spot at number 4 a few months back, has now been left out of the squad after poor performances in the recent series to Vijay Shankar, who India believes gives '3-dimensional' options.
