VIDEO: DRUNK SRI LANKAN FAN CAUGHT HARASSING FOREIGN COUPLE DURING SLVWI MATCH 

In a shocking and embarrassing case, a drunk Sri Lankan fan was caught on camera harassing a foreign couple during the Sri Lanka vs West Indies 1st T20I match.

The ongoing series between Sri Lanka and West Indies is already grabbing attention while a recent incident at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Sri Lanka on Sunday made headlines. 

When the match and fans were in good spirits, a drunk Sri Lankan fan was caught harassing a foreign couple in the stands. According to a Sports Rush report, the drunken man took offence to the female foreign national, who had wrapped a Sri Lankan flag around her body. He decided to allegedly verbally abuse the couple. 

Sadly, none from the crowd intervened in the matter and moved the man away. The act was caught by a fan and the video has gone viral on social media.

Ever since the video grabbed headlines, several Sri Lankan supporters condemned the act and have expressed apologies to the couple. 

Meanwhile, as per a Daily Mirror report, Sri Lankan Tourism Minister Prasanna Ranatunga, speaking on the same, assured that he has informed the Ministry Secretary to send the footage to Inspector General of Police (IGP), requesting him to carry out an investigation in the matter.
