WILL SURESH RAINA RETURN TO IPL 2020 ANYTIME SOON? CSK CEO REVEAL AFTER FANS DEMAND RAINA'S RETURN

Ever since Chennai Super Kings (CSK) player Suresh Raina returned to India from the UAE for 'personal reasons', fans and his team members were worried about the game ahead in the IPL. With CSK not performing well in the IPL matches, Suresh Raina's presence has been missed. 

After the opening match of IPL 2020 against Mumbai Indians (MI), CSK has suffered back to back defeats to Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Delhi Capitals (DC). After these two losses, fans demand Raina to return and save the team.  

There were reports that Raina could possibly return but the question remains the same: Will Raina come back to play the IPL? to which CEO of the franchise Kasi Viswanathan confirmed.

Viswanathan, who did not look too optimistic about Raina’s chances to return said; “See, we cannot look at Raina because he made himself unavailable and we respect his decision and his space. We are not thinking about it,” Viswanathan told ANI. 

“We have been blessed with some of the best fans in the cricketing world and I can assure them that we will bounce back strongly. It is a game and you have your good days and bad days. But the boys know what they need to do and the smiles will be back," Viswanathan added.  

Raina, who has always been at No. 3 position for CSK over the years currently has Faf du Plessis in his place. So far, the South Africa batsman hasn’t disappointed fans nor his team members.

Further giving confidence about CSK and the matches ahead, Viswanathan looked optimistic about Ambati Rayudu's return. He said, “Like I told you last day (before the Delhi Capitals game), he would miss one game at worst. He is fit and ready for the next game."
