An ad published by Baba Ramdev’s Patanjali in the Deccan Chronicle on December 17 states that dark complexion is a skin ailment. The ‘Beauty Cream’ ad reads, “Possesses the benefits of wheat germ oil, turmeric, aloe-vera, and basil etc. which are extremely beneficial for skin ailments like dry skin, dark complexion and wrinkles.” It further goes on to say that the cream gives people the confidence of 100% natural beauty.

In an Instagram video, Bollywood actress Rakhi Sawant challenged Yoga guru Baba Ramdev to launch Patanjali condoms. Earlier, slamming the ban on airing of condom advertisements between 6 am and 10 pm on television channels, Rakhi commented that the government wants Indians to get AIDS. Notably, Patanjali has introduced almost everything from soaps to biscuits and from hair oils to groceries.
According to reports, Patanjali Ayurved is preparing to launch packaged drinking water that will be available nationwide over the next three to six months. The Baba Ramdev-led company will make 'Divya Jal' from the water claimed to be sourced from the foothills of the Himalayas. Ramdev’s spokesperson reportedly said the company will start the bottling of drinking water at its factories in Haridwar and Lucknow.
