TIRUPATI: A husband's cruelty to the extent that he brutally killed his wife has come as a shock to everyone around. 

Padma is the daughter of Thirumala Acharya-Mallika couple from Koralakunda area of ​​Tirupati district in Andhra Pradesh. She was married in 2019 to Venugopal, a software engineer, the son of a Banduranga Achari-Rani couple from Satyanarayanapuram.

Venugopal is said to have abused Padma by keeping her inside the house for 4 months after the marriage. Padma has decided to get a divorce as her husband could not bear the cruelty. But Padma's parents persuaded her to stay with her husband.

It was in this context that Padma came back to her mother's house last year after her husband Venugopal's atrocities crossed the line. Following this, Venugopal filed for divorce. While the case was pending in the court, Venugopal persuaded Padma to take Padma back to the family last January.

Relying on this, Padma has gone back with her husband Venugopal. Venugopal then argued with Padma seeking a divorce. But Padma has denied this. Infuriated, Venugopal, along with his father Pandu Rangachari, mother Rani and friend Santosh beat Padma to death.

The body was then packed in a suitcase and wrapped in a blanket and taken away in a car and dumped in a lake near Tirupati Renigunta. During this time, Padma's parents contacted her on her cell phone and inquired about her daughter. Venugopal said she was fine. He trusted Padma's parents for 5 months.

In this situation, their divorce case came to the court on the 10th. Venugopal was the only one to appear in court as both the husband and wife had to appear in court for this. When asked about his daughter Padma, Venugopal replied contradictorily. The suspect's parents have lodged a complaint with the police stating that their daughter is missing.

During the police investigation, it was revealed that the husband had beaten his wife to death and thrown her into the lake. Following this, the police took Venugopal to the spot and recovered Padma's body with the help of swimmers in the area of ​​the lake which he had identified. Following this, the police arrested Venugopal, his father and mother and are actively searching for his undercover friend Santosh.
