GRAND MOTHER THROWS 2-YEAR-OLD TODDLER FROM 6TH FLOOR WHILE SHE WAS SLEEPING

In a shocking case from Mumbai, a 50-year-old woman has been arrested for allegedly throwing her two-year-old granddaughter from the 6th floor. 

The incident took place in the city's Malad area on Saturday. The child has been identified as Jiya Ansari.

According to NDTV reports, the child was found in a pool of blood when family rushed to the spot. Initially, they thought that the incident may be an accident. But after the police investigated on each of the members in the family; they got the killer.

It was none other than, Ruksana Obedullah Ansari, the grandmother who confessed to her crime. She kept changing her statement and wanted to avoid questions which raised suspicion. 

When media contacted senior police, he said that Ruksana would often fight with the victim's mother. On the fateful day, she wanted to teach her daughter-in-law a lesson so took the step. 

"Ruksana would regularly get into fights with her daughter-in-law and to teach her a lesson, she threw off her granddaughter while the victim's mother and other family members were asleep on Saturday morning and went back to sleep again," the senior police added.

Further revealing more to the case, police asserted that the child was asleep when she was thrown out of the window. 

Currently, Ruksana (grandmother) has been taken into custody and a case has been registered against her.
