The village is now buzzing with people coming to see it and the fact that there was a temple near the location raised curiosity among the locals.

Seven-headed snake is a mythological creature which some people believe was present in the world and some believe to be still existing.

As the news went viral, hundreds of people gathered in the location and offered kumkum and turmeric.

A villager told TOI that a similar skin was found 6 months ago. The appearance of the skin near the temple had made the buzz more as the people believe the place has special powers.

Experts however rejected the claim saying there are two-headed snakes but seven-headed is not in existence.

Snakes shed skin like other few reptiles to get rid of the parasites that may have grown on them. The process helps in growth and is called ecdysis.
