Days after Madras High Court banned TikTok saying it exposes children to inappropriate content, TikTok has removed six million videos from its platform for violating community guidelines. But that did not stop the youngsters from making more videos.

Teen in Delhi shot dead by friend while making TikTok video

The latest victim of this new age addiction was a 19-year-old boy from Delhi, who was accidentally shot dead by his friend while posing with a pistol to make a video on mobile app TikTok. The incident occurred on Saturday night when the deceased, Salman, went for a drive to India Gate in a car along with his friends Sohail and Amir.

According to PTI, Salman along with his friends Sohail and Amir went out for a drive to India Gate and while returning, Sohail was sitting next to Salman who was driving the car and he pulled out a country-made pistol. To make a video, he aimed the pistol at Salman and while trying to make the video the pistol went off shooting him on his left cheek. In moments of panic, the two friends drove to Sohail's relatives' place in Daryaganj, where he changed his blood-stained clothes.

Along with the relative they took Salman to the LNJP Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. In fear, they left the hospital soon after admitting Salman. When no one came to claim the body then, around 11.15 pm the hospital authorities informed the police, PTI stated.

Currently, the police have arrested the accused who have been identified as Amir, Sohail and Sharif. The police have registered a murder case and a case under the Arms Act have been registered at Barakhamba Police Station.

Later police confirmed saying that, Salman was arrested as he fired the bullet, while Amir was arrested for disposing of the weapon. Sharif, who was not present at the spot when the incident happened, was arrested for disposing of the blood-stained clothes.
