Home > News Shots > IndiaIn a latest development, the CBI team who is probing Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case will be interrogating the late actor’s reportedly ‘close friend’ Sandip Ssingh.
According to sources, CBI got a lead about Sandip Ssingh recently. He has remained underground since the time concerns were raised about his roles and responsibilities. Republic Media Network cited sources in its report who said that his name has surfaced in an accused’s chats and the investigating agency has proof to summon him for questioning. His signature on the ambulance register from June 14 is also one of the reasons why the CBI has called hi.
“Sandip was also seen with the late actor's sister outside Cooper hospital on June 14, though the family has confirmed that their presence together was only circumstantial and that they didn't know him. Videos from Cooper Hospital where Sushant's body was taken for autopsy showed Sandip Ssingh playing a leading role, even gesturing to the Mumbai police for reasons unknown,” Republic Media Network reported.
Sandip Ssingh in his statements to the public has mentioned that he was at his home when he heard about Sushant Singh Rajput’s death on June 14 through Mahesh Shetty. However, Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam has claimed that Ssingh was along with him at that time and the Sanjay’s statement contradicts Sandip’s.
On June 17, Sanjay Nirupam praised Sandip for arranging the autopsy of Sushant, via a tweet. However, media reports that came out letter reported that there were discrepancies in the autopsy.
Actor Sushant Singh Rajput allegedly died by suicide at his Mumbai residence on June 14.
