Man duped of Rs.30 lakh – Here’s how

According to reports, a man named Anwar Shaikh who was looking to purchase an apartment approached two real estate agents who showed him a flat. After negotiating the price, he was asked to pay Rs 30 lakh immediately and the rest during the documentation process. A few days later, when he was unable to contact the sellers and obtain the flat’s ownership documents after he had paid the money to them, he visited the apartment complex where he was told by the neighbours that he had been duped by the real estate agents. The Dongri police in Mumbai have registered an FIR for cheating, forgery, breach of trust and impersonation against the accused.
