Madhya Pradesh: Students asked to chant ‘Jai Hind’ during attendance

Madhya Pradesh government will make chanting “Jai Hind” mandatory for all school students from November 1 to mark their attendance. School education minister Vijay Shah reportedly said the practice will first be introduced in Satna district from October 1. The decision was taken to instil a sense of patriotism among students, the minister reportedly said. However, some educationists and Opposition leaders have reportedly asked the government to focus more on improving the quality of education and results than introducing Jai Hind.
