Two juvenile boys were charged for burglary on Friday, by the Delhi Police. They had allegedly stolen mobile phones in order to play PUBG.

Juveniles Take an Extreme Step to Play PUBG, Booked for Crime

A total of 19 phones were stolen from a shop in South Delhi, by these boys. While enquiring them, they had revealed that they had decided to play PUBG but since many of their friends did not have smart phones, they had decided to steal. They planned on stealing for their friends.

The police made a statement on Sunday saying that both the boys are addicted to the game.

DCP of South Delhi, Atul Kumar Thakur said, “The shopkeeper told us that someone broke into his shop and took Rs.2,000 cash, mobile phones, and board games such as Ludo and Chess.” Hence the police scanned CCTV footages and tracked the accused.

Both the boys are held for burglary.
