In a shocking case, a class 11 student allegedly stabbed his English teacher multiple times after she asked him to submit a copy of his holiday homework. The incident took place on Monday at Shri Ram Krishna School of Bhigan village in Sonepat.

The English teacher has been identified as Mukesh Kumari.

According to India Today report, schools in Haryana opened after a month-long summer vacation on Monday. The English teacher was enquiring about holiday homework from Class XI students when one of them allegedly stabbed her with a sharp-edged weapon.

With three deep stab injuries in the stomach, Mukesh was admitted to a general hospital in the city but was later shifted to the Post Graduate Institute (PGI) in Khanpur, India Today further reported.

While talking to media, Mukesh Kumari said, "When I asked him to present his homework, he pulled out the knife from his bag and stabbed me several times. He never does his homework."

Soon after the incident, the accused student tried to flee from the spot but was overpowered by another teacher.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Virendra Rao said since it was a Medico-Legal Case (MLC), the case will be registered against the accused after medical reports of the victim. Meanwhile, investigations are on.
