"CLOSE YOUR EYES. I AM GOING TO SLAUGHTER HIM," TEACHER TELL OTHER STUDENTS IN CLASS: VIDEO VIRAL!

A shocking video has gone viral on social media where a teacher is seen threatening to slaughter a student with an axe in Hindwara town of Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara district.

The man in the video is a teacher at a private school in north Kashmir's Handwara and the boy, his student.  Soon after the video got viral, it has left netizens surprised with the teacher's behaviour.

According to Deccan Chronicle reports, the teacher can be seen thrashing a student. While the minor is lying down, the teacher with an axe in his hand can be seen threatening to slaughter the student. The boy cries in terror as he is pinned to the floor by the man. Other students can be seen seated on the floor.

"Close your eyes. I am going to slaughter him," the teacher tells the other students in Kashmiri. Also, the students are not dressed in their uniforms and are wearing winter clothes like Pheran (traditional Kashmiri gown used to keep warm during winter) and sweaters.

Police investigation has been launched into the matter and the reason for the act is not yet known. Meanwhile, the locals have demanded strict action against the teacher.

Media reports say that, as per the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Women and Child Development (MWCD) physically punishing the students can invite a jail term as well as a hefty fine.
