CURRENCY SMUGGLING: LAKHS OF RS 2000 FAKE CURRENCIES FROM PAKISTAN TO INDIA

Javed Sheik flew from Dubai to Mumbai airport with Rs 24-Lakh fake currencies only to get arrested in a bus stop. According to Polimer report, the Central Investigation Camp received information about lakhs of fake currencies printed in Pakistan and smuggled to Mumbai, India.

Javed Sheik arrived at Mumbai airport and got away without getting caught at the airport security check. Meanwhile, the Mumbai police got the tip and began searching for the suspect.

At one point, the police saw a man waiting at the passengers' bus stop carrying a suitcase in his hand. In no time, the man was investigated by the police thoroughly.

The man was identified as Javed Sheik and while searching his suitcase, a sum of 24- lakh Indian currencies were spotted. Reportedly the fake currencies matched perfectly with the original currencies with 7 protective features.

During the police investigation, Javed confessed that the currencies were printed in Pakistan and then taken to Dubai before landing in Mumbai. As per police report, Javed had hidden the fake currencies at the edges of his suitcase which was not detected in the Aiport security check.
