CENTRAL GOVT ANNOUNCES "ICON OF GOLDEN JUBILEE AWARD" FOR RAJINIKANTH!

Superstar Rajinikanth will be conferred "Icon of Golden Jubilee" award at the 50th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) which will be held in Goa between November 20-28.

Minister of Information & Broadcasting Prakash Javadekar made the announcement on Twitter. “In recognition of his outstanding contribution to Indian cinema, during the past several decades, I am happy to announce that the award for the ICON OF GOLDEN JUBILEE OF #IFFI2019 is being conferred on cine star Shri S Rajnikant.”

In response, Rajinikanth tweeted, “In recognition of his outstanding contribution to Indian cinema, during the past several decades, I am happy to announce that the award for the ICON OF GOLDEN JUBILEE OF #IFFI2019 is being conferred on cine star Shri S Rajnikant."

On a related note, Radhakrishnan Parthiban's Oththa Seruppu and Lakshmy Ramakrishnan's House Owner have been chosen to be screened at the festival.
