In a shocking case, a car rammed into a crowd in northwest Delhi’s Model Town leaving several injured.

The shocking visuals from the incident shows the car running into the crowd and then disappearing away in the market.

As per India Today reports, one person is seriously injured and is currently in the ICU. While the driver is absconding and yet to be arrested.

According to a police, a case has been registered after a video was posted on social media showing a sedan car speeding through the crowd on a busy road in Old Gupta Colony of Model Town on Sunday night.

Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Northwest) Vijayanta Arya said, "A case under Sections 279 (rash driving or riding on a public way) and 337 (causing hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others) of the Indian Penal Code has been registered at Model Town police station on the statement of the injured person."
