BEHINDWOODS NEWS ROOM'S OFFICIAL CLARIFICATION ON A TECHNICAL MISTAKE IN A NEWS VIDEO PUBLISHED

On May 12, 2022, Behindwoods published a news video on its platforms telling a story of a Ganja peddler, who was selling the drug posing as a tea vendor. To depict the story, the News team took a file photo of a tea seller from the internet with the intention of using the same after completely concealing the face and other identities - by applying effects, and it was taken as intended.

On Youtube, the video was published after applying identity concealing graphic effects, but, due to some technical issue the same video got published on Behindwoods FB page without blur effects on the visual. We realized this technical error only after it was flagged by the same person who by mistake got featured in that visual.

Coming to know about the issue, our News team immediately deleted the videos from all our platforms, and also expressed our strong feeling & concern and tendered our sincere apologies to Mr. Sivaraj, who mistakenly got featured in our video.

Also, only later our team could find that Mr. Sivaraj, Managing Director of Tea2Go, is a self made entrepreneur, who has got an inspiring story behind his growth and business.

Behindwoods would like to clearly state that there is no connection between Mr. Sivaraj, his life & business and the News story that we published on May 12, 2022. Also, the mistake that happened with our video is purely because of some technical error and nothing intentional. 

Even though it was a technical issue, our News Division has taken action against the News Producer, Visual Editor and the News Auditors - who had published and audited the video - by suspending them from service.

Once again, we express our regret and apologies for the inconvenience caused to Mr. Sivaraj and his near and dear ones. Our anchor will be apologizing to Mr. Sivaraj on behalf of our News Room for the mistake that had happened.

Also, we express our desire to have Mr. Sivaraj, the Managing Director of Tea2Go, featured (through a full length interview) in our Youtube channels and other platforms to tell the World about his journey and successful entrepreneurship which we believe would definitely inspire and encourage every aspiring and budding entrepreneur and also other ambitious younger generation.
