The Bombay High Court on Tuesday reportedly ordered a ban on the sale of firecrackers in Mumbai urban and suburban areas. The court has reportedly ordered to cancel the licence of firecrackers shops in the residential areas of Maharashtra. “Shops where firecrackers are stored should not be located in residential areas”, the court reportedly said. Earlier, the Supreme Court ordered a ban on the sale of firecrackers in Delhi on pollution concerns.
