The Indian government on Friday reportedly banned the sale of cattle for slaughter. However, the trading of cows among farmland owners is still permitted. According to reports, the new rules have been issued under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act. By this, anyone purchasing cattle needs to file five copies of paperwork signed by the officials.
