Sellapan Ramanathan aka SR Nathan, the former Singaporean President, who was born in a family of Tamil descent, reportedly passed away on Monday. Nathan, 92, was admitted in hospital after he suffered a stroke on July 31. Notably, Nathan was the longest-serving and the only president of Tamil Origin.
