Leading IT company Infosys has announced an 88 percent pay rise for its CEO, Salil Parekh.

Born on June 5, 1964, Salil completed his aeronautical engineering studies at IIT Bombay. He then earned a master's degree in computer science and mechanical engineering from Cornell University in the United States. Following that, Capgemini began working on a board of executives.

Meanwhile, Salil was elected CEO of Infosys, a leading IT company, in early January 2018.

Infosys has announced an 88 per cent pay rise for Salil Parekh. This information is published in the annual report issued by the company. According to this, Salil is to be paid Rs 79.75 crore a year (approximately Rs 6.6 crore a month). As a result, Salil has topped the list of highest paid executives in India.

Salil was previously paid a salary of Rs 42 crore a year, but has now been offered an increase of 88 per cent to Rs 79.75 crore a year. Infosys has announced that the announcement will take effect on July 2, following the approval of its shareholders and board members.
