One of the finest actors in M-town, Tovino Thomas was last seen onscreen in Aashiq Abu’s Virus which was based on the 2018 Nipah virus outbreak in Kerala. The film opened up to rave reviews and did well at the box office.
The actor has a number of projects lined up in his pipeline out of which he was busy shooting for his upcoming film, Edakkad Battalion 06. During the shoot that was taking place in Kozhikode, there was a scene in which the actor was shooting. All the four sides of the room were set ablaze and Tovino was expected to complete his portion in it.
However, the actor who was not taking the help of a body double, completed the scene even after being injured. He was immediately reported to have provided with the first aid. Directed by Swapnesh K Nair, the film has Tovino and Samyuktha Menon in the lead roles.
Written by P Balachandran, the film is bankrolled by Shrikant Bhasi, Thomas Joseph Pattathanam and Jayant Mammen under the production banner Ruby Films. While the cinematography is handled by Sinu Siddarth, the editing is handled by Rathin Radhakrishnan. The music for the film will be scored by Kailas Menon.
