What is it about?

Tiger Zindha Hai is the sequel to Kabir Khan’s hit movie Ek Tha Tiger (2012). Ever since TZH was announced, Salman's fans were excited about this outing and the movie also marked the reunion of Salman and Katrina after five long years. Firstly, if you are a fan of Ek Tha Tiger, then this franchise will be no surprise to you. Salman plays an Indian spy in the film and his mission to rescue Indian hostages from Syria, makes the plot of this film. Well, on the other hand, Katrina Kaif plays the Pakistani Spy, whose mission is to save Pakistani hostages from Syria.

What makes the film?

Tiger Zindha Hai is a sure-shot tailor-made film for Salman Khan. The film starts with a serious content, which talks about the US-Syria war and how Indian and Pakistani citizens are affected. Salman Khan who dons the role of a spy in the film takes up the mission of getting back Indian hostages safe and similarly, Katrina Kaif has to do the same with her Pakistani counterparts. What happens next and how they accomplish the mission together forms the rest of the storyline.

What didn't work?

TZH is an out and out Salman film and after mixed responses from Tubelight, Salman decides to deliver what he is always known for and hence by doing so, there is a margin of logic that lacks in TZH. Towards the end of the film, it looks as if the director was again setting a climax by assuring there could be a possibility for another sequel, which could have been trimmed for better engagement.

What worked?

Salman Khan's charisma is undoubtedly the best factor in the film. Nextly, Salman-Katrina's chemistry on-screen will make you fall for them and watch the film all over again. The big positive of the film is the fact that there are not many commercial elements and unnecessary song placements. Director Ali Abbas has given a perfect screenplay that finishes the film as a neat package.

Well?

If you have missed Salman Khan's screen presence in Tubelight, then here is Salman back with a bang delivering what he is always known for. Tiger Zindha Hai will remain as one of Salman's best commercial films for a long time.

Verdict: Salman's ISIS avatar and Katrina's RAW agent are bang-on performances and will make fans say 'Tiger Zindha Hai'.

TIGER ZINDA HAI SONGS REVIEW

Review by : Bharadan Album Release Date : Dec 12,2017

Swag Se Swagat:
Music: Additionally, Julius Packiam (Tiger Theme)
Singers: Vishal Dadlani, Neha Bhasin
Lyrics: Irshad Kamil

Oozing swag, Swag Se Swagat is an Indianized EDM track, and like many others of the same style, relies on bass drops and catchy tune bits for effect. The efficacy, however, is not too high.

Dil Diyan Gallan:
Singer: Atif Aslam
Lyrics: Irshad Kamil

More than the converse, Atif Aslam's singing makes Dil Diyan Gallan's composition a pleasurable, relaxing song to play in the background and take an afternoon siesta. It flows easy, slow and light and can help you if you want a break from a hectic day.

Zinda Hai:
Music: Additionally, Julius Packiam (Tiger Theme)
Singer: Sukhwinder Singh, Raftaar
Lyrics: Irshad Kamil, Raftaar

Zinda Hai is evidently the title theme and is accordingly racy and punchy. A bit that repeats throughout the song reminds us of Don's theme, though. The rap potions will help the song set the mood for Salman's badassery.

Daata Tu:
Singer: Shreya Ghoshal
Lyrics: Irshad Kamil

Entwined with emotion, Daata Tu's melodious tunes in the brilliant voice of Shreya Ghoshal are indeed soulful. If you are a budding singer - even if just in the bath - you will love to sing Daata Tu.

Tera Noor:
Singer: Jyoti Nooran
Lyrics: Irshad Kamil

Tera Noor takes surprising turns, starting as a folk song and fused with techno sounds and drums potions. Jyoti Nooran continues doing what he does best and holds his own, creating a nice fusion.

Dil Diyan Gallan (Unplugged):
Singer: Neha Bhasin
Lyrics: Irshad Kamil

Neha is to this song what Atif was to the regular version of Dil Diyan Gallan. Her rustic rendition carries the composition and is aided well by the simple folk beats and strings as well as the occasional acoustic guitar.

Verdict: Tiger's album is surprisingly strong in its melodies, and fans will ensure the mass tracks' love. A good album by Vishal Shekhar!
