Priya Anand is one of the young actresses who has done a handful of films in various languages like Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. She is currently awaiting the release of her next Tamil film, Kootathil Oruthan, which also stars Ashok Selvan.

In a recent meeting with the press for Kootathil Oruthan, Priya has given out a shocking news that she was almost about to quit acting films at one point. This is what she had to say, ''When I first heard the story for this movie, I was not accepting many offers as I was going through a lot of personal issues and was considering the option of quitting cinema and doing something else. But then I found this story to be very positive, and it had a strong message, so I definitely wanted to be a part of it.''
