I am asking this question to Kamal himself. Kamal is wasting his talent by acting in roles like in Manmadhan Ambu (but I liked his acting, as well as the film, can watch once). Anyone could have acted in his role in the film, so why he? The point I want to make is that he should do roles like that of Jack Nicholson in “A Few Good Men” or like that of a Gene Hackman in “Crimson Tide”, roles that justify his enormous capability. In recent times he has repeated similar kind of comedy in Pachatantiram, Pammal K Sambandam or Vasool Raja MBBS, I liked all these roles but when it comes to comedy he is repeating himself.

He should do more author-backed roles similar to what he did in Anbe Sivam, Devar Magan, Virumandi, Unnaipol Oruvan, etc. If he does not get such roles, he could direct more films and act in lesser films. He should also do movies with the younger directors like Murugadoss, Gautam Menon, Vetrimaran, Selvaraghavan, Sasikumar, etc. I can confirm (and Kamal fans would agree) that Kamal never looked as handsome and stylish in any other cop film than Vettaiyadu Vilayadu. So if he acts under these directors they will show a better side of him which many might not know. I only want him to be a little more selective in his movies so that he can cross the very high standards that he had set himself. Hope to see him soon in a power – packed role.
