Actor Prabhudeva, whose Mercury has just been released outside of Tamil Nadu, made a post on Twitter about how piracy might lead to a less than optimal experience of the movie. Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, the movie is a silent thriller which has not yet been released in Tamil Nadu due to the ongoing strike against film releases. The tweet read:

Now the latest big news is that SJ Suryah might team up with Karthik Subbaraj once again. A little birdie tells us that SJ is in talks to act in a movie produced by Karthik's Stone Bench Creations. We are informed that this project is in a primary stage and it could take time to take off.
