There aren’t too many movies about social change in today’s entertainment centric film industry. Sattai, starring contemporary legends such as Samuthirakani and Thambi Ramiah, is one such about a teacher and his attempts at bringing about a change in his school.

Despite good reviews and decent collections, Saattai has not had a great run at the box office.

Saattai is fast slipping into the below average category after failing to garner enough attention.

Samuthirakani’s role as a sensible teacher has come in for much appreciation.

Saattai has Samuthirakani, someone who is very effective in straddling both the roles of a director and an actor, in the lead as a teacher with ideals and values. The film also has another stalwart Thambi Ramaiah.

Average opening recorded all over and if the word of mouth is positive, the movie’s fortunes could be lifted.
