This is something very close to Superstar’s heart. It is the RR Memorial, in the village of Nachikkuppam where Rajinikanth was born. Many of his relatives including his paternal uncle still live in the village. The memorial was inaugurated by Sathyanarayana Rao Gaekwad, Rajini’s elder brother in April. It is in memory of their parents Ranoji Rao and Rambai. The memorial was originally built to provide drinking water facilities to the local people and livestock. Now, a marriage hall and recreation facilities for the people of the village are also coming up in the 2.5 acre plot bought in the name of the Raghavendra Welfare Trust.
