Who
is on top? On whom would producers willingly invest
their earnings of a lifetime? Whose name would
the paying public swarm theatres? Well, there
are a few names that come readily to mind but
who rules the roost. We make an attempt to sort
out the pecking order of the male leads in Tamil
filmdom.
The ratings are purely objective, based on salary,
trade value, fan base, last hit, number of years
in the industry and the future projects.
If you think your favorite actor will figure in
the list then try predicting his position in the
top twenty but keep your mind open; your star
may not be where you suppose he is because what
you think may be entirely different from what
the wise heads in the industry think. So who’s
who? The top twenty.
