Vijay too had spoken with Bala’s family - with Bala’s sister and Bala’s brother in law. In a telephonic interview with Behindwoods, Bala’s brother in law revealed how all of them are deeply shocked. He also opened up about the conversation Vijay had with them.

Bala’s brother in law said “All of us were deeply shocked. A couple of days ago, Bala had gone with me to a shop and we were talking normally. He was close with me and he never told me about anything.”

“Thalapathy Vijay called and spoke with us. He conveyed his deepest condolences. He also said ‘Suicide is not the solution. Why did you let him take this extreme step? Shouldn’t you all speak to him, whatever the issues were. If you require any help, my Makkal Iyakkam will be there to help you out. All of us are there with you during this tough time. Stay strong’.”

From whatever Bala’s family has conveyed, it is very clear that Bala was battling severe depression but showed nothing to the outside world. He was very normal but was facing so much trauma from the inside that made him take the extreme step.
