HERE’S THE LATEST UPDATE ON KANGANA RANAUT’S 'THALAIVI' – DETAILS
Home > Tamil Movies > Tamil Cinema NewsAmong the high-profile releases of Kangana Ranaut is ‘Thalaivi’ which is based on the lives and times of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa. The Tamil version has been censored ‘U’ while the other versions would go for certifications soon, it is learnt. According to the grapevine, the makers are eying an August release if theatres are up and running although nothing is set in stone, as yet.
Produced by Vishnu Induri and Shaailesh R. Singh, Thalaivi is helmed by Vijay, shot by Vishal Vittal while GV Prakash Kumar composes music for the film. Earlier, on the occasion of director Vijay’s birthday, Kangana had taken to social media and penned – “Happy Birthday to my most favourite director to work with, Thalaiva of team #Thalaivi. Best wishes sir, can’t wait to see the film.” (sic)
It is said that post Thalaivi, Vijay would move on to an OTT movie, said to be titled ‘October 31st Ladies Night’ which will be a Tamil-Telugu bilingual, starring five leads. More details on the movie are awaited. Kangana, meanwhile, is busy with other projects including Tejas and Dhaakad to name a few.
