Tamil music directors who have worked in Hindi films

There have been a number of music composers from Kollywood who have also made a mark in Bollywood. Ilayaraaja and AR Rahman have composed music for a good number of Hindi films. Even the recent sensation, Santhosh Narayanan debuted in Bollywood with Saala Khadoos, the Tamil-Hindi bilingual film starring R Madhavan. The latest addition to this list is SS Thaman who is all set to make his debut in Rohit Shetty's Golmaal 4.

Many new composers are slowly making their presence felt in Kollywood, and it will be interesting to see when they will start composing for films pan India. Vidyasagar has composed for 4 Hindi films, Harris Jayaraj has worked in 2 films while GV Prakash has composed for around four films in Hindi. Yuvan debuted with Raja Natwarlal in 2014 while Anirudh produced the single, 'Yun Hi Re' for Bejoy Nambiar's David, which is the Hindi version of his Tamil super-hit track, Kanave Kanave.

With the number of composers in Kollywood is gradually increasing, it will be interesting to find out which of these young lads take a good grip in the other industries in India. We wish growing talents like Vishal Chandrashekhar, Leon James, and others also make their marks in the Bollywood industry which could also bring them a good name due to its reach across the world. The Tamil film industry has seen a variety of composers who have created extremely soulful music and know how to perfectly mix up between contemporary music, experimental tracks, and traditional songs. It is to be noted that even a well-established composer like Anirudh is yet to make his complete debut in Hindi with a full album and we hope it happens soon.
