Home > Tamil Movies > Tamil Cinema NewsThe opening ceremony of Barroz, directed by actor Mohanlal for the first time, was held recently. Many of the leading celebrities of the Malayalam film industry like Mammootty, Prithviraj and Priyadarshan were present with their families.
Speaking on stage while attending the function, Mohanlal's wife Suchitra openly told their love story for the first time. She said that she didn’t like him much in the latter’s debut film Manjil Virinja Pookal as he played the villain.
He continued to play negative roles after that. Thus my hatred continued. I saw him as a villain because he was so perfect at work. It was only after watching the film ' Ente Mamattikkuttiyammakku' that I started falling for him, she said.
Soon the two began to fall in love and got married. Mohanlal has always been my favorite actor. So I hope he becomes my favorite director too, Suchitra said.
The shooting of the first film directed by Mohanlal started yesterday in Kochi. It is to be made into a big budget 3D movie. Large sets are set to be erected in Portugal, India and Africa.
