The alumni of the school have written a letter of complaint to the school dean, demanding the immediate dismissal of the teacher and have pressed for an inquiry into the matter. The incident has gone viral on social media and caused a great deal of shock. Meanwhile, there have been massive revelations about similar incidents by other school and college students.

After this incident came to light, netizens started trending 'INBARAJ' - the teacher role in Ratchasan movie - who had similar shades with respect to the issue at hand. Director of the movie Ramkumar has shed light on how the character was picturized. Here's what he had to say:

"The character of Inbaraj in Ratchasan was not just fiction. It was created based on many true incidents. The culprits of those incidents were worse than Inbaraj!", the director noted in his tweet.
